Gymboree Play & Music Tunbridge Wells

Gymboree Play & Music Tunbridge Wells is run by the lovely Shona and Megan. They’re based on the upper floor in the Royal Victoria Place shopping centre opposite M&S. They cover a large area around and including Tunbridge Wells, up to Shipbourne, down to Castle Hill and Stonegate, West to Crowborough, Blackham, and Charcott, and East to Ticehurst and Paddock Wood, and everywhere in between! They offer sensory classes for babies, and Music classes, as well as our famous Play & Learn classes for little ones who are on the move. Classes are 45 minutes long with activities, singing, exploring and ooodles of bubble fun!

They also offer a range of fabulously fun birthday parties, with zero clean up for you!

Come to Classes

There are 2 different ways you can come to classes at Gymboree Play & Music Tunbridge Wells.

Membership

This is the best value option, giving you one developmentally-appropriate teacher-led class every week, plus access to Open Gym sessions throughout the month.

Members also benefit from a flexible make up class policy so they don’t miss out on any classes!

Membership fees of £64.50 per child are paid monthly by direct debit.

Fun Pass

If you don’t want to commit to monthly membership you can buy a Fun Pass. This gives you the flexibility to come to classes when convenient for you, and includes access to Open Gym sessions.

£114 for 6 classes, valid for 6 months.

Shona

Centre Manager & Teacher

This is Shona!

Shona has been an avid Gymboree Play and Music member for the last 4 years attending every level with her children. As a mum herself, she knows the importance of building strong social skills in early years seeing first hand the benefits of attending Gymboree’s developmental classes.

Her love of all things Gymbo has extended to working at Tunbridge Wells branch and being promoted to Centre Manager in 2024.

With a background in Art & Design, Customer service, Business services, alongside her enjoyment of singing, hypnobirthing & baby courses, she is really keen to bring a creative air to her classes.

She loves to make our families smile and feel welcome with every visit to Gymbo Twells!

Outside of Gymboree Shona runs an allergy support group for families with children who have allergies. She hosts regular meet ups and has created a community within Gymboree Allergy community to help raise awareness. And enjoys being a Creative in many mediums.
Megan

Teacher & Music Leader

This is Megan!

Our bubbly friend recently graduated from university with a degree in Classical Singing. With several years experience working with children's education, she really enjoys to seeing them flourish when having fun learning.

As a child Megan grew up around music thoroughly loving the experience and is excited to bring the magic of Music to our Gymboree members. You'll often find Megan dancing around our play floor with the biggest of smiles, waiting to greet our families.

Outside of Gymboree you can see Megan getting creative with her nails and performing in her choirs shows.
Elinore

Teacher & Party Host

This is Elinore!

Elinore is the newest member of our team. With more than 10 years of teaching experience under her belt, she has joined us with a bundle of educational knowledge.

As another avid Gymboree member, Elinore has fallen in love with the classes, seeing with her own children both how much enjoyment they get, but also the progress they make from attending our classes. She can't think of a better place to work than Gymboree.

Outside of Gymboree Elinore enjoys singing at her Rock Choir & sharing a love for books with her book club.
The Team

The fabulous team here at Gymboree P&M Tunbridge Wells love seeing our families and watching your little ones grow in development (and height) from week to week.

They strive on making their classes creative, exciting and educational bringing elements of learning in everything they teach.

Behind the scenes they make sure the venue & props are cleaned regularly to keep those germs at bay. They move the equipment bi-weekly to make new exciting Set ups for your little ones to explore and plan great activities to our class theme.

We pride ourselves on building relationships not only with the children we teach, but with families too and see all our members as part of a big Gymboree Family.

Gymboree Play & Music Tunbridge Wells is located on the upper floor in Royal Victoria Place shopping centre , opposite M&S and next to Kids Stuff.

The closest parking is Meadow Road car park, level 6, first entrance door, which leads you out just around the corner from us.

As you come in, our main reception has show benches, coat hooks and spaces for pushchairs. We also have baby change and Toilet, with child seat on site.

Shona, Megan and Elinore are great at what they do and my child loves the atmosphere here! Their classes are so much fun and always different, the equipment changes all the time, great at keeping it fresh and interesting.
You can tell Shona, as a manager really has a passion for what she does and drives her team and had added some lovely touches to the place since taking over.
The team always have smile on their faces and are so engaging with every child in class. We love Gymboree and think everyone should try it!

My son and I love Gymboree! They are the highlight of my son’s week. The classes are a wonderful - structured and fun but designed to be flexible so children can participate as much as they want. Shona and Megan are amazing - so friendly and welcoming and my son thinks of them as part of the family!

We love coming to Gymboree every week. Shona and the team are always happy to see us, greeting us warmly every time.The classes are fun and engaging for my child, and the open play sessions always help fill the void when finding indoor activities to do especially on a cold rainy day. The ladies at Gymboree are so lovely and take time to talk to me and my child, it makes the while experience even better.

I wanted to take a minute to share how happy and incredibly grateful we are to Shona for doing Henry’s birthday party.

She was honestly THE BEST - it’s not easy to handle a big group of 3 year olds and she did a spectacular job.

From helping us with the set up, through handling the chaos that comes with having so many kids and parents, all the way to making everything easier for us (taking videos, cutting the cake, comforting Henry…it’s an endless list!)

Shona to me is irreplaceable and I would love to see her grow within gymboree - she honestly so great at everything she does; even my mum who comes to visit every few months always comments on how great she is with both kids and grown ups :)

Thanks again to Shona and the team for such great experience!

Both of my children (3.5 years and 11 months) go to Gymboree Play & Music and love it. My toddler goes to their drop-off Lego class which she raves about. It's very creative, working not only on Lego skills but also painting, drawing etc. My infant son loves his Gymboree Play & Music Crawlers class - particularly loves crawling all over their props, through the tunnels, etc. Great way to get the infant crawling over obstacles! Gymboree Play & Music is part of our weekly schedule for both kids and we look forward to participating every week. Invaluable!

Gymboree Play & Music was a lovely and positive experience for my son Leo. We started when he was 9 months and he is now 3 years old, I wish we had started sooner.
He loves the songs (which is part of our daily singing at home), the freedom to explore and he was happy there. He looks forward to class every week and once class is over he will tell everyone about Gymbo and what he did.
For me, I liked that it taught him how to get down safely from a height, how to learn to use his body, and touching on different topics every 2 weeks. It gave me confidence in other environments to trust that he has the ability that he learned from Gymboree Play & Music and to trust him.

I’ve been taking both my newborn and toddler to Gymboree Play & Music for a couple of months now and both boys are really loving the classes and open gym sessions. It’s a great way to meet other mums, entertain toddlers at witching hour(!) and get ideas for sensory play with babies. Sophie and Cat are fantastic and have so much energy and loads of different ideas for the classes, plus make sure the activities it’s help children meet their development milestones as well.
